Joseph C. Foglio, CHMM, Principal & Sr. Vice President, GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
Joe has more than 30 years of remedial action design and construction experience and has been an integral part of GZA’s MGP program since 2001. He is a key member of peer review teams focusing on remedial action selection and constructability. He has been the Principal-in-Charge and Lead Construction Manager on multiple large scale MGP and other remediation projects with overall responsibility for: investigation; developing remedial alternatives; regulatory review and permitting; developing detailed and performance-based biddable plans and specifications; construction CPM scheduling; cost estimating; contractor evaluations, bidding and procurement. He is also experienced with managing hard bid remedial construction, design/bid/build and design/build projects on many fast-track remediation projects involving a variety of in-situ and ex-situ treatment technologies.
Joe started his career (a long time ago) in GZA’s Soil and Rock Instrumentation Division where he was involved with large, heavy-construction projects and was a key team member on several federally funded R&D projects related to high-temperature instrumentation and monitoring at nuclear waste storage facilities.
