John Ripp is vice president and former senior principal with GEI Consultants. He has been a leader in the consulting practice for utility companies managing manufactured gas plant sites since 1981. Starting in 1995, Mr. Ripp collaborated with his partner Dennis Unites in sponsoring and organizing international MGP symposia focused on new developments in applied technologies and site redevelopment. These include conferences in Prague, Czech Republic; Reading, England; Dresden, Germany; Mystic, Connecticut: Chicago, Illinois and Providence, Rhode Island.
Over the last twenty years Mr. Ripp has been the MGP program manager for GEI projects with National Grid, Con Edison, Orange and Rockland Utilities, Eversource (aka Northeast Utilities), JCP&L, EPRI and others. He has provided expert services to utility clients in PRP disputes, liability cost estimating, site development histories and forensic analysis. Starting in 2018 Mr. Ripp will be retiring from full time employment with GEI but will still be available for special assignments.
